How to Stop Autoplay Videos on Facebook

Generally, Facebook gives permission to disable the autoplay videos which are really very good. Here are some steps to stop the autoplay videos on the Facebook web as well as its iOS and Android apps.

For Facebook Web

These are the step to be followed;

  1. First of all, you have to open Facebook and log in to your account.

  2. Then go to “Settings”.

  3. In your Setting, go to “Videos” and turn off Auto-Play videos.

 

For Facebook Android App

The following points are used to stop auto-play videos in the Android App of Facebook.

  1. Go to the hamburger menu icon which is present on the top left corner of the screen and scroll down to find “Settings and Privacy”. Click on “Settings” in the drop-down menu.

  2. Then in the “Settings” section, scroll down and tap on the “Media and Contacts” option.

  3. Now in this option, tap on “Autoplay” to open the autoplay video preferences.

  4. Here, select the “Never Auto-Play Videos” to disable auto-play videos in your Facebook account.

 

For Facebook iOS App

This is very similar to the previous one. The steps are as follow;

  1. Here also, first go to the hamburger menu icon located on the top left corner of your screen. And then scroll down to the “Settings and Privacy”. Click on “Settings” in the drop-down menu.

  2. Go to the “Settings” option and click on the “Videos and Photos” option present below the “Media and Contacts” header.

  3. Now, on that option tap on the “Auto-play” option.

  4. Then, click on the “Never Auto-play Videos” on the “Auto-Play” preferences page to disable auto-playing videos.

How to Stop Auto-Play Videos on Instagram

Instagram is a social media that lacks to disable auto-play videos in the entirety. But if you want to save your data services, you can also activate the “Use Less Data” option to stop videos from preloading in your phone but it won’t stop videos from auto-playing. The required steps are;

  1. Open Instagram and click on the profile icon followed by the hamburger menu present at the top left corner. Now go to the “Settings” option and tap on the “Mobile Data Use”.

  2. On this page, click on the “Use Less Data” option.

For the Twitter Android App

  1. Open your Twitter app for Android application, swipe left to open the slide-out menu and tap on “Settings and Privacy”.

  2. Now go and tap on the “Data Usage” option present below the “General” header.

  3. On this page, choose “Video Auto Play” below the “Video” header.

  4. After that select “Never” from the drop-down menu.

 

For Twitter iOS App

  1. Open the Twitter app for iOS, swipe left to open the slide-out menu and tap on “Settings and Privacy”.

  2. Scroll down and click on the “Data Usage” option below the “General” header.

  3. On this page, select “Video Auto Play” below the “Video”.

  4. On this option, please click on the “Never” option to disable auto-play videos in your feed.

How to Stop Auto-Play Videos on YouTube

  1. First, open the YouTube in your browser or Android or iOS app to play any random video.

  2. Then a button will come named “Auto play Button Turned On” on the upper right corner. Your work is just turning that off.
