From the past couple of years, Android has come forward in a very faster way. But still, it fails to provide a unified experience across third-party apps and services. As the launch of Spotify with much expectation in India, the integration of Google Assistant was nowhere to be found. Users congregated Twitter to complain about the issue. But Google has not released any fix yet. Anytime anywhere if you want to visit the music services inside Google Assistant, still there is no sign of Spotify. As we know the absence of Spotify in music services, but there is a way to add it to Google Assistant.

Integrate Spotify with Google Assistant

Here are some steps to be followed to integrate Spotify to the Google Assistant through your Google Account. The steps are given below-

  1. Firstly you have to open the Google Assistant by long pressing the home button. Then you have to click on the Explore Button present on the top of the bottom right.

  2. A new explore page will open. Now, search for Spotify here and open it.

  3. Now, see that you will get an option to link your Spotify account to your Google Assistant. Click on the “Link” button which will offer you a pop-up dialog seeking permission to link to your Google account.

  4. Tap on the “Agree” button which is located on the next Window and you are done with this. Now, you will be able to play songs on Spotify using Google Assistant through your Google account

For premium users, playing individual songs through voice commands are only available.

In spite of its shortcomings, Google Assistant is by far the best voice assistant on the planet. If Google would streamline everything, then normal users can enjoy its proficiency.
