OnePlus TV: Upcoming QLED Smart TV
When the Chinese company is waiting for the announcement of the release date, Amazon has released that the OnePlus TV will come up soon. The logo of the OnePlus TV is going to spot in the ‘New Launches’ on the Great Indian Festival teaser page. There are many companies available that have used Amazon sales in the past to release new products.
Features:
55-inch QLED display with Dolby Vision
This upcoming OnePlus TV will come up with various latest features. It will come with a 55-inch form factor with a QLED panel. It will most likely be one of the ranges of TVs OnePlus is planning to launch. Similar to OLED, QLED is a technology that relies on LED backlighting. QLED stands for quantum-dot light-emitting diode. This is a term that is used by Samsung for its quantum dot TVs. It is the only brand that has a significant portfolio in the QLED segment.
It came to know from the rumors that the upcoming OnePlus TV is supposed to come in form factors from 43-inch to 75-inch in size. But this brand is expected to launch its television in its least four sizes, such as; 65-inch, 75-inch, 55-inch, and 43-inch. It is also confirmed that Dolby vision also supports the device.
Software Upgrades
It is said that the TV is set to get at least three years of Android TV software updates. Nowadays, this particular feature would make the OnePlus the only brand that has committed to such long duration support for its SmartTV. Software updates in Android TV are very inconsistent and also the bugs are unresolved for a long time. It should appease the various Android TV users who have had limited experience with updates.
Modified Android TV and MediaTek Processor
While OnePlus TV can run on the Android TV platform, there will be some variations to the general User Interface. This TV will look to make the experience ‘fast and smooth’ and will also add additional features to the new Smart TV. It is leaked that this Smart TV will be powered by a MediaTek MT5670 chipset running a Mail G51 GPU and 3GB of RAM.
Gramma Color Magic Processor and Eros partnership
The new OnePlus TV will come up with the feature of a Gramma Color Magic Processor that the company says; it will bring the best-in-class imager quality on our customized QLED TV panel with the widest color gamut. In addition to that, according to the business wire, the company has also unveiled a partnership with Eros Now to bring its movies and all other programmings to OnePlus TV. And Eros has confirmed that it will be supporting Dolby technology also.
It is having 8 Speakers with Dolby Atmos support along with 50 W output
Amazon has confirmed that the device will pack eight speakers which produce a combined output of 50 W. the TV will also support Dolby Atmos in providing an immersive surround sound experience.
OnePlus TV Remote
The remote will be used to control the smart TV. It looks quite slim and appears to be made out of aluminum with a surprising addition of a USB Type-C port present at the bottom page. There is a directional rocker present at the top for navigating through the user interface and a button labeled with the OnePlus logo. It will be also coming with a Google Assistant button along with an options button located on the left and a back and home button present on the right. There is also a blank button available which would be customizable.
