Aarogya Setu: Indian Government Launched COVID-19 Tracker In response To The Pandemic

Considering the seriousness of the COVID-19 and most importantly rumours, Indian government has just launched an application namely “Aarogya Setu” to track the spread of infection more actively and accurately. 

The app is launched to reduce the rumours and to stop the misinformation reaching people through unauthorized apps, posts, memes, rumors and many more. The app is launched with the only aim to protect you, your family, friends, and our country in the effort to fight against COVID-19. With this, you can feel safe at your home or wherever you’re.   

This is the biggest step taken by the Indian government in order to make their public available with the right & verified information.

What this app actually does?

This app is a new move from the Indian government in effort to limit the spread of misinformation. The app has a database and the record of all the infected people of the coronavirus and the number of deaths. Beside making you informed about your area whether it is out of risk or not, the app also lets you take a quick test if you have matching Coronavirus symptoms or not as it has a different section for this namely “Self Assessment Test”.

Alongside, the app also no less in offering "COVID-19 Help Centers” numbers of all states.

How to start it? 

There are no complications in starting & using the app. After downloading the app from your particular store, it will ask you to choose a language in which you are comfortable. Good thing is the app offers 11 Indian languages. 

Once you select the language, click on “Next”. It will take you to four pages which you need to swipe but after clicking on “Register Now” showing on the fourth and last page. 

Next Page is Terms of Service & Policy of the Government, where you need to tap on “I Agree”. 

Now register your phone number, enter OTP (One Time Password) and fill all mandatory information in the blanks. 

Once you’re done with all information, the app will take you to the main page. 

Where to download Aarogya Setu App?

Be careful about the third party applications on the play store that are able to deliver similar apps but with incorrect information. Download the app from the official Android or iPhone app only i.e Google play store or Apple store. 

On both Android as well as iPhone, the app works similarly. 

Apart from this, the government has also an official portal- MyGov.in, that also contains various information related to the virus and its effects.
