Our Verdict On the Phone
In our previous blog, we talked about the Oneplus Nord CE4, which the people have greatly welcomed. Now, let’s review Nord CE4 lite, which we have been using for the last two weeks and believe us, we didn’t expect these results:
Design and Built
After unboxing the phone, we were not satisfied with its aesthetics. It has a camera island at the back, which fosters a sense of balance in design. Nord CE4 Lite is 162.9 x 75.6 x 8.1 mm and weighs 191g. Many may find this quite stylish, but it was a different experience. However, the one thing we liked about the device was its feel in the hand. Although it is an affordable phone category, it feels durable and provides toughness. Moreover, it has a solid IP54 rating, which makes it your perfect match for daily rigours such as moving in traffic, boarding a crowded metro, or even manoeuvring through a bustling market.
Camera Quality
For a mobile in this price range, we were quite impressed by the camera quality of the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite. It packs a powerful camera with a 50 MP Sony LYT-600 Sensor with OIS, which makes it capable of clicking detailed photographs of objects in well-lit conditions. Further, its 2x in-sensor zoom will allow you to get closer to subjects without sacrificing much of the details. When it comes to dim lights or evening time, you can use its night mode, which will help you get social media-ready pictures. If we talk about video quality and features, we expect it to be better.
Performance
After using the device for two weeks we can assure you its performance will not disappoint you. Nord CE4 Lite is packed with a powerful processor, the Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. It has an AnTuTu Score of 473628, and the Geekbench 6 CPU Benchmark shows a Single-Core score of 896 and a Multi-Core score.
While using the phone, we juggled between the multiple apps and games; to our surprise, we didn’t experience any slowdown. However, the gaming experience was not smooth; we could play popular games like FreeFire smoothly, but it started posing problems with high graphic games.
Battery Backup
One of the most frustrating issues with our phones is how quickly they charge. However, the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite offers a different charging experience. Equipped with a 5500 mAh battery, this phone can last up to two days on a single charge. In our usage, we found that it charges up to 70% in under 40 minutes. The device manages heat well, even during prolonged streaming and gaming sessions, staying cool while charging without any overheating issues. With 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging, the Nord CE4 Lite reaches 100% in less than an hour. Additionally, the new battery health feature lets you monitor the battery's long-term health.
Is It Worth The Price?
The OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite offers impressive features for its price range, though it does have some limitations. Firstly, the Snapdragon 695 5G processor, released in 2021, can struggle with more demanding tasks. Additionally, some users may find the display brightness lacking. Despite these drawbacks, we find that the Nord CE4 Lite 5G provides a good balance of performance and power efficiency for daily tasks and casual gaming needs.
