Using this app is quite simple, just make sure that you’re signed in to a Microsoft account. To start backing up your files, open the Settings app, and click ‘Account’ under the username, you should see the email address you use for your Microsoft account. If you don't have a Microsoft account, click on Sign in with a Microsoft account instead” and follow the on-screen instructions.

When you’re done with this, click on the OneDrive icon in your taskbar notifications area. Now click on the ‘Open Folder’ placed in the bottom-left corner of the pop-up window. OneDrive will sync your files to Microsoft’s server, safely backing them up. For this, simply drag and drop the file one you want to move to your new computer into this folder.
With OneDrive, you can set it to backup your Desktop, Documents, and Picture folders. From the notification area, click the OneDrive icon, click More and click settings. Now, click “Backup”.
Next click on the folder that you want to sync to your new PC, hit “Start Back up” and leave the PC as it is until it gets finished.

Download Your Backed Up Files

To download the files on your new computer, you need to sign in with your Microsoft account. Once you’re signed in, it will be easy to move your backed up files. In fact, if you choose to back up your files with OneDrive, they will be synced up in the same folders like Desktop, Documents, and Picture of your new laptop. Also, as long as you have signed in to a Microsoft account on your new computer, your files will be re-downloaded to this folder.

And, if you have decided to use Google Drive to move your files then head to Google Drive Website. Highlight all the files to make them identified easily from your other files. To download the files hold the key Ctrl and click each one. Next, right-click the selected files and click download. Google Drive will compress each file in a Zip archive to reduce the file size and this will take a few minutes to download. Once it downloads successfully, unzips the downloaded file and moves the file to your chosen location on your laptop.

There are a couple of ways to get them onto your new computer. For this, you need Microsoft Store, which is a build in the app that you can use to download a large number of programs. In the Windows 10 search box, type “Microsoft Store” and find the results.

Searching your favorite apps in this store is quite simple. One can search for apps by name or browse various categories and popular programs in the store. When you find the app you need, click “Get” if it is free or “Buy” if it is required to purchase.
