Samsung Odyssey Ark: Release Date & Specifications

Forget all the high-tech monitors you have seen yet as Samsung is all set to revolutionise the monitor screen world with its unorthodox product called Samsung Odyssey Ark. It is a 55-inch curved display that can be rotated 90 degrees into portrait mode for multitasking and Zoom calls. Introduced at CES 2022, the Samsung Odyssey Ark has a Quantum Dot Mini LED display with 4K resolution, an aspect ratio of 16:9, and a sharp curve. With the height-adjustable stand, you can rotate the monitor from landscape to portrait mode and do familiar tasks in a new way.

Samsung, the manufacturer demonstrated its much-awaited product Samsung Odyssey Ark by rotating it from landscape mode to portrait mode and dividing the screen into three parts. While one screen was displaying the gameplay, another was dedicated for Twitch streaming and the third one was reserved for video chat with friends.

As we know  that Samsung Odyssey Ark is not yet released, there is no concrete information available about the monitor’s price. Though, we can anticipate its cost based on Samsung’s other LED panels available in the market. If we analyse on the basis of Samsung’s current flagship panel, Odyssey Neo G9, it’s cost could be $2500. However, Neo G9 features a bit better specifications, but it can’t beat the Ark in screen size, which means Odyssey Ark would be more expensive than Neo G9. 

2022 is turning out to be a year of high-end and highly-priced gaming monitors. The higher prices of cutting-edge panels are indicating the enhanced performance as well.

It is too early to say that a three display or curved monitor will offer many benefits, but it is sure that Samsung Odyssey Ark has successfully grabbed people’s attention.
