  • Under the End user licence agreement, select ‘Agree’ & press ‘Next’.

  • Enter CAPTCHA, and wait for a while for the uninstall process to complete.

  • Once the process is complete, restart your device. 

 

Using Window Setting

If you don’t prefer to install any other software to remove McAfee, here is another way to do it through the Windows setting. Follow the steps:

  • Go to the START menu and click on Settings.

  • Next, click on the Apps tab and select installed apps.

  • Scroll down the list & locate McAfee software.

  • Once you find the label, click on the three-dot sign at the cornet and select uninstall from the drop-down menu.

  • If Windows prompts for administrative privileges, allow it.

  • Toggle both the options showing the check box and select Remove.

  • Go to your system Control Panel.

  • Under the Program Tab, select the link for ‘Uninstall a program.’

  • Select McAfee Total Protection from the list and select Uninstall with granting admin privileges.

  • Check all the boxes to enable it and click on ‘Remove’.

  • For the entire removal, follow the above steps with ‘WebAdvisor by McAfee’.

  • Lastly, press  ‘No thanks, just uninstall it’ & Restart your device.

 

How to Uninstall McAfee From Macbooks?

What if I have an Apple Macbook? No worries, here are simple steps that you can follow to remove the antivirus software:

Before proceeding, ensure no browser like Safari or Chrome is functional in the background; if it is, it will be disrupted and removed permanently.

  • Find the Application folder on the Dock or Go Menu.

  • Next, locate McAfee Internet Security Uninstaller and double-click on it. 

  • A pop-up box will appear; click on Continue.

  • If it asks for an administrative password, feed it and press OK.

  • At the end, click on Finish to complete the procedure & Restart your device.

 

How to Uninstall McAfee From Your Smartphones?

For Android

  • Search for MMS or McAfee Security under the Device Administrator list before you try to uninstall the application from the list.

  • Tap Device Administrators and allow it.

  • Next, if either is selected, look for McAfee Mobile Security / McAfee Security.

  • Click on Uninstall and restart your device.

 

You can use these methods to remove the app from your Android device. 

Another Way For Android Device

  • Go to app slots and search for McAfee Security App 

  • Click on the menu and select Uninstall from the drop menu 

  • If the uninstall option is not visible directly, tap the More option. 

  • After the successful uninstallation, restart your device.

For iPhones & iPads

  • Open the McAfee Mobile Security / McAfee Security app and press it for a while until the icon wiggles.

  • You will find the ‘minus sign’ on the app icon on the left side; click it.

  • Tap ‘Delete’ to confirm if you want to delete the app.

 

Note: Press the ‘Home’ button to prevent the icons from wiggling. 

If your iPhone does not contain a Home button, tap Done at the right corner to prevent icons from wiggling.
