Motorola Has Launched Latest Version Of G-Series- Moto G8 Plus

The latest smartphone of Motorola’s G-series’ Moto G8 Plus was released on 25th October 2019. It was just a day after its globally official announcement. As of 31st October 2019, Motorola Moto G8 Plus price in India starts at a rate of Rs. 13,999 only. However, in the UK and Australia, it is available at £239 and $499 respectively.
Moto G8 Plus: Design
The Moto G8 Plus has a plastic body and is available in two colours- Cosmic Blue and Crystal Pink. The panel at its back has a glossy finish along with the camera modules at the top left corner. Apart from this, the logo of Motorola is in the middle.
Moto G8 Plus specifications have enhanced its worth by doubling its logo area which will act as a fingerprint sensor. This will assist in unlocking phones at an instant. However, mid-range smartphones have started introducing fingerprint sensors, but the applications associated with them aren’t as fast as a traditional fingerprint sensor. But this one of your complaints can be resolved with Moto G8 Plus. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor.
Adding more to the Moto G8 Plus specifications, its thickness measures of about 9.09 mm and it weighs 188 g. The right edge of the phone has a volume and unlock buttons that are built for better identifications. Apart from this, there is a hybrid SIM card slot on the left edge.
On the top edge of the phone, there is a microphone and a 3.5 mm jack for inserting headphones. It can be used to connect earphones or headphones and it is for those who haven’t switched yet to wireless earphone devices. In the bottom edge, there is a microphone, USB-C port, and a speaker grill.
It is claimed by the company that the body of the phone is water repellent and has implemented small rubber gaskets throughout its build. However, other than the usual splashes of water on the phone can cause damage to the smartphone.
Additionally, there is a protective back-cover provided with the phone in the box for extra protection against the usual wear and tear.
The model of Moto G8 Plus somewhat resembles the company’s latest One series handsets.
Moto G8 Plus: Display
The Moto G8 Plus has a bigger size of the screen than that of G7 Plus. The length of the screen of Moto G8 Plus is 6.3 inches. It is an IPS LCD panel with a Full HD+ (1080 X 2280 pixels) resolution and a U-shaped notch up top.
The screen has an aspect ratio of 19:9 which is appropriate for viewing videos. Additionally, it has a top layer of Panda Glass which is similar to the Corning Glass and it is efficient in protecting the device from drops.
There are narrow bezels on three sides, and it excludes the chin area which has a bold distinct border of black colour. There is a space for the speakers right above the notch which functions sequentially with the speaker at the bottom.
Moto G8 Plus: Camera
The Motorola Moto G8 Plus on the rear possesses a 48-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.79 aperture; a second 16-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a third 5-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The rear camera setup has auto-focus. This phone supports a 25-megapixel camera on the front for selfies, with an f/2.0 aperture.
Moto G8 Plus: Storage
Motorola Moto G8 Plus based on Android Pie and has 64GB of inbuilt storage which can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 512GB). The Motorola Moto G8 Plus is a dual-SIM smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards.
Moto G8 Plus: Connectivity
There are diverse connectivity options in the Motorola Moto G8 Plus phones. It includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, USB Type-C, FM radio, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India) with active 4G on both SIM cards.
