6 Hidden Windows 11 Features Everyone Should Know
Everybody has used windows at some point in their lives. Windows 11 was the last biggest update in Windows. Many things were changed with this version, and people didn’t like it. However, one thing that remained unchanged is the secret and hidden Windows 11 features. There are a lot of customisations and things you can do on your windows that you might not know. This blog will review some of the best Windows 11 features everyone should know. Let’s start without any further ado.
Best Windows 11 Features That Will Blow Your Mind
There are a lot of features that Microsoft dont tell you about. Today, we'll examine a few of them.
1- Re-Aligning Taskbar
One of the major changes between Windows 11 and Windows 10 was the placement of Taskbar. In Windows 10, the taskbar was aligned to the right side by default. However, in the case of Windows 11, the taskbar is centre-aligned. This is something many Windows users had problems with at the start. However, you can change the alignment of the taskbar. Just visit the ‘Settings’ and look for ‘Personalization’. Here, you will find an option named ‘taskbar alignment’; click on it and select left instead of centre.
2- Customise Quick Action Panel
Another hidden Windows 11 feature you might not know is the quick action panel customisation feature. In Windows 11, you will find options like WiFI, Bluetooth, Airplane mode and a few others in the quick action panel. To customise your quick action panel, you just have to click on the WiFi sign, and the panel will pop up. Here, you will see a ‘pencil’ shaped icon. Click on it to add or remove apps from the quick action panel.
3- Connect Your Phone To Get Calls And Messages On PC
One of the best Windows 11 features is the Phone Link feature. Here, you can link your mobile device to your PC and receive calls and messages on your PC. Moreover, you can also watch your mobile device’s notifications. Although the iOS features are limited, Android users will love this phone link feature. If you have an Android device, you can access any photos you shot on your phone, use it as a Wi-Fi hotspot, and even play mobile games on your PC or laptop screen. However, this can trigger safety and security issues for many people, so learning tips and tricks to enhance your Windows protection is necessary.
4- Listen To Music In New Sound Modes
Among the top Windows 11 features is the sound modes it offers. You can listen to music normally or use sound modes from Windows to enhance your experience. To use these sound modes, all you have to do is open settings, system, and sound. Here, you will see an option to ‘enhance audio’. Click on it and choose different sound profiles by Windows. In the sound setting, you can also set the amount of sound you want from both of your earpieces, left or right.
5- Run Android Apps
One of the most cool Windows 11 features includes the Windows ability to run Android and even iOS apps. In the older Windows 10, you could only run .exe files. However, in the latest Windows 11 Update, you can also run .apk and .ios extensions. To run these files, you just have to download them and run them on your PC just like you normally would.
6- Run Games Faster With Direct Storage
Another hidden Windows 11 feature is the Direct Storage feature. This feature allows the games to launch faster than usual. This feature also depends on your hardware. So, make sure you have the hardware to support this. Generally, all you need is an NVMe SSD PCIe 4 or higher. To see if your device is compatible, press Windows+G to open the X-Box Game Bar and click on gaming features. Here, you will either see “Your system is DirectX 12 Ultimate ready” or “ Your System is not DirectX 12 Ultimate ready”.
Use These Hidden Windows 11 Features And Enjoy!
Windows 11 is very different from Windows 10, and so are their hidden or secret features. All of the features mentioned above are useful and will help you change a particular aspect of your windows.
