How to Save WhatsApp Status Videos and Photos

WhatsApp is a type of messaging service which has become a very popular social media platform. Here, you can share photos, videos, etc. with each other. An additional feature was added to this which is called WhatsApp Status. This is very similar to Instagram Stories, and Snapchat, where you used to upload things that are get removed after 24 hours. You can easily create a status on WhatsApp. But if you want to view someone’s status and save that, it is very difficult. If you are using an Android smartphone, then we’ll give you the steps to save the status. It may often happen that you have found sparkling WhatsApp Status Videos, and you want to save it. And it is also very important to know how to save those videos on your Smartphone. One thing, you have to remember that you have to take permission from the person before saving the status.

 

How to save WhatsApp Status video on Android

The entire process needs a file manager on your Android Smartphone. Steps may vary according to the type of your file manager. To make things easy, you used the Google Files App that is a free file manager app for Android. It comes up with Google’s Pixel Smartphones. So, you can easily download as well as install it via Google Play.

Now, follow the steps mentioned below;

  • First of all, you have to open Google Files App on your Smartphone, and then click on the hamburger icon present on the top-left and then go to settings.

  • If you are using a Pixel Smartphone, then open the files app, and click on the hamburger i.e. three-dots icon on the top-right and tap to settings.

  • Then on the next page, enable show hidden files. On Pixel Smartphones, you require to enable show internal storage.

  • Then go back to the Files app’s main menu and then click internal storage.

  • Now go to the WhatsApp, then media, and then go to “.Statuses”.

  • To save or download a photo or video, long press on it and tap copy. Now, paste it on any folder of your choice present in your internal storage. 

By following the above steps, you can able to save a photo or video which was set as a contact’s WhatsApp Status. This particular method allows you to save any WhatsApp status which you have opened even if it’s been more than 24hours since the status was posted.
