WhatsApp is one of the most popular Instant messaging apps used by more 80% of the population on the globe. What makes it really popular among users is the ease of transferring texts, videos, audios, files, and other attachments. Over the years, each WhatsApp update has kept bringing improvement and added tons of features that a lot of people are still not aware of.
We might be well aware of the most common features of WhatsApp. But, trust me WhatsApp gets much more fun and convenient when you are aware of all its hidden features and tricks.
Here is my list of the best WhatsApp features you should definitely try out
1. Ignore WhatsApp Messages Without Letting the Sender know- (Turn off the Blue Check)
The sender is always curious to know as to whether you have read their messages or not. Sometimes you might not want to reply to someone you don’t happen know or you prefer replying only to the important messages first when you are running late on your schedule. With a few simple steps, you can easily turn off the “read” indicator (blue tick) with one disadvantage that you won’t be able to know if that person have read your messages.
To turn off “Read” indicator, Go to Settings in the App>Account>Privacy>Read Receipts and turn it off.
2. Hide Your Presence on Whatsapp- Turn Your Last Seen Off
Ignoring someone’s messages by hiding Read Receipts is not worth it if the person can still check your last seen. Worst case scenario, you might start getting spam messages and to avoid that you can hide your last seen with the help of this step.
Setting>Account>Privacy>Last Seen
3. Use Your WhatsApp on any computer browser
Always checking your phone to reply to messages can be a hassle sometimes when you happen to be working on your computer.
WhatsApp Web is one idle feature that makes replying to much more convenient and gives you the freedom to reply to texts right from your browser. All have to do to get started is- Go WhatsApp web option in the App on your phone scan the barcode you see on https://web.whatsapp.com/

Further, you can also italicize your text by adding apply underscore on both sides of the word like _Hello_ and you are done. Yes, you can also grab some attention by strikethrough your text by doing ~Friend~ and you are good to go.

Apple users can check the unread message by adding the Whatsapp Recent Chats widget to their device. When users swipe left to right from home or lock screen, latest chats up to eight from recent chats will appear. On the other hand, Android users have the option to reply from the notification bar itself.
9. Save Your Time With Google Assistant or Siri
Google Assistant of Android and Siri of iPhone are quite fun to play around with. Now, you can send messages on Whatsapp using the voice assistant on your phone. The simple procedure is to just call out “Ok Google” or “Hey Siri” and say “Send a message to on Whatsapp. After doing this, Google will dictate your message and ask for a speck confirmation in the option of “Yes” or “Send it”.
10. Make Your Voice Messages Silent
Of course, you will never listen to any voice message without headphone because of the people around you. With WhatsApp, you could just play the audio message next to your ear and have an audio message just to yourself. The proximity sensors detect that the phone is near your ears and treats the audio message as a phone call
11. Read Deleted WhatsApp Messages
People often get curious about the deleted messages sent to them. Now, you can see that message by using the “Notification Log” App from the play store.

You don’t have control over the chat groups or your naughty friend circle. It is always wise to hide your WhatsApp media because it may also be possible they have sent you an unwanted post. Follow the below steps to hide.

Users find it irritating if they want to send any greeting message to more than one person. The one can use WhatsApp broadcast feature to avoid hassles. You only need to do is to create a broadcast list from your contacts and send a message. But the condition is that the person in your broadcast also should have your number in their phone.
16. Show Your Status To A Selected Person
Your Status is a great way to share your photos. But, there are times you don't want your mom to be seeing your photos of the party last night. And there is a way you can easily hide your status from her while being visible to the rest of your friends. Yeah! Do it from status privacy setting and enjoy.
