MWC Barcelona 2026 Begins Xiaomi, Lenovo, and Other Companies to Introduce New Gadgets

The MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2026 started today in Barcelona, Spain, and will conclude on Thursday, March 6th. It’s the largest and most influential connectivity event in the world, where renowned companies like Xiaomi, Lenovo, etc., will launch their new products.

 

The China-based smartphone manufacturer is set to introduce its Techno Spark Slim. It’s expected to be the world’s slimmest phone, with just 5.75mm thickness. This phone has a 5,200 mAh battery. The company shared on X that the phone will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display and a 50 MP dual-camera setup.

 

Lenovo, a multinational technology company that introduced the world’s first foldable PC

might introduce two new laptop concepts: a solar-powered laptop and a Magic Bay. The solar-powered Lenovo Yoga will have a unique lid made of Solar cells that continuously charges the laptop while in use. Majic Bay will support two additional screens with a 360-degree hinge. These screens are connected to the main PC, which draws power from the laptop. 

 

HMD Global will launch three phones at the event: the HMD 130 Music, 150 Music, and Fusion X1. The 130 and 150 Music phones offer long battery life and durability. They also have a built-in FM radio with Bluetooth speaker support. The Fusion X1 will offer parental controls, helping families manage their kids' screen time

 

Xiaomi, a brand known for offering budget phones, unveiled its latest flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra in the beginning of the event. Both phones run on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2 and are backed by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The 12GB + 256GB variant of the Xiaomi 15 will cost 1,041.81 USD, and the 16GB + 512GB model of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will cost 1,561.62 USD.
