Meta AI Now Available On Social Media Platforms

The American Multinational technology conglomerate Meta announced the launch of Meta AI in India on Monday, June 24, 2023. It is the company's most advanced LLM (large language model) powered by Llama 3. Meta AI is available on Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram & Messenger for free. Users can also access this AI chatbot from the Meta AI website. 

Meta AI, meticulously designed with user convenience in mind, will initially be available in English. Users can effortlessly access this tool by updating their social media apps like Facebook and Instagram. The company also assured that “Meta AI is smarter, faster, and more fun than ever before.”

Meta has ingeniously applied the AI chatbot to social media platforms, offering a myriad of possibilities. Users can ask for recommendations for a specific activity or a new road trip plan on WhatsApp. On the web, Meta AI will help users with tips and ideas on how to decorate their new homes. 

This new chatbot will be available on Facebook in the feed, allowing users to ask questions about posts to gain more insights. Meta AI can also be used to generate photos and Whatsapp stickers or to retouch an already available image. The text-based experiences of this chatbot are based on Llama 2. Conversely, image generation tools are powered by Llama 3 (the latest version of Meta’s LLM). The California-based company Meta shared that the AI tool has been trained with specific instructions to ensure it delivers useful responses within guidelines.
