6. In the next step, you need to select the image format. There are two options - Read-only & Read/Write. 7. Finally, click on Save to proceed. It will take a few minutes depending on the number of items in the folder. Hit Done when it finishes. 

8. Now, to check the saved folder again, navigate to the location where you have saved it, and double click on it. It will appear in file format DMG. 

9. Enter the password you created for the folder earlier and click on OK. You can see one option of “Remember Password in My Keychain” below the password box. Remember checking this box will defect the purpose of requiring a password to open the folder.

10. You now see the mounted disk image of your folder. Double-click on the image and from here you can make the changes that you wish to do such as to add, remove, or access the items just like before.

11. When you want to stop using the folder, the password protects it again by unmounting it. Right, click on the folder image and select Eject “Folder Name”.
