Will Technology Replicate A Human In 2019?

artificial intelligence

We are living in the age of technology. Technology has assisted human being in each and every field of life. With the help of technology, we do almost all the activities of life. This technology has widened the thinking level of the human being. One of the most important and famous technologies assisting human being is artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence has brought revolution in the field of IT. After developing artificial technology, now human being is working hard to replicate human. As the man has proceeded toward replicating human being, some question arises. Some of the most important and valuable questions are as follows.

1. How easy would it be to replicate a human?

2. How accurate would it be to replicate human?

3. If man succeeded in doing so, what would happen?

4. If man succeeded in doing so, what consequences would create problems for human beings?

5. If man succeeded in doing so, what consequences would that have for human health?

For manufacturing human, first of all, we require some manufacturing tools. There are many such tools, but 3D printing and CAD are, nowadays, rapidly growing industries of this field. The best 3D printer kits and other parts are available so anyone can easily assemble their own printer. With the help of 3D technology, we are already preparing artificial skin, organs, tendons, and bones. However, we are facing some limitation in this respect as we do not have all the technology ready for the operating room. Recently, CAD has got very much importance in the medical profession. You can find the best 3D printers 2019 such as Resin 3d printer.

Here we will separately discuss CAD human digital replicas and 3D Printing Human Replicas.

CAD Human Digital Replicas

A digital platformcan generate anything. Furthermore, it can also simulate and test anything. DassaultSystemes is promoting this digital platform in the medical industry.DassaultSystemes is doing so with the help of Simulia Software and living human heart model.

A living heart is a high-fidelity multi-physics model of a four heart chamber and the healthy adult human heart.  This heart model is basically a proximal vasculature. Realistic electrical, structural and fluid flow physics, actually, govern the dynamic response of the living heart. With the help of this specially designed heart model, virtual experiments are conducted rapidly in a highly realistic 3d environment. These experiments are actually conducted by medical professionals, researchers, and device manufacturers.

To study cardiac defects or diseased states, this living heart is used. This living heart can also be used to explore treatment options by modifying its geometry. This can also be done with loading or electromechanical properties. To study the influence of medical devices on cardiac functions, this living heart is especially used. In this way, we can predict the reliability and validity of efficacy under a wide range of operating conditions.

It was about 2014 for the first time it was publically announced. With the passage of time,DassaultSystemes was further developed. Now, in the year 2017, it is in an advanced condition. A Simulated digital 3D heart model was offered an opportunity for new perspectives for medical research on the 3D experience platform. This project is, now, not bounded to limited areas or in laborite but has grown to a large area. This project has grown to about 95 worldwide members that are simulating drug interaction with the heart. FDA is focusing on simulation and modeling which is done within the light of 21st-Century Cures. Act.

Drugs Approvals through Digital Models

It is an interesting fact that doctors of today are seeking drugs approval through digital models of human. In this respect, the FDA is also on board. Real-World Testing (RWT) is expensive and timely. Real human test subjects do not consist of different problems. In this field,DassaultSystemesis not alone. In this field, Materialise is also working for the same purpose as that of DassaultSystemes.

Materialise is working to digitalize human being for the advancement in medicine. Materialise’s work is very much close to that of the 3D Printing industry. This is uncovering the new insights with the help of testing on thousands of virtual patients. With the aim to help the students and doctors, Stratasys and Materialise worked together and produced a Bio Mimics 3D. By using this Bio Mimics 3D doctors and students practice on 3D printed bodies.

3D Printing Human Replicas

3D printing has helped human being move from the digital world to the physical world. This 3D printing is maintaining the three important factors which are faster, flexibility and more features. One of the most important issues for the students is that there are so many cadavers. And the same points for doctors is that not all bodies are the same. One of the most appealing features of 3D printing is that according to the need of students, so many models can be produced. One of the most advanced features of 3D printing for doctors is that a doctor can use prints directly from the body of a patient.

As it has been mention above thatStratasys’ Bio Mimics 3D aims to help students and doctors in surgical practices. Polyjet process, not only can change the color to replicate human being but the durometer can be changed in situ. A recent development has been noted in Sinterit. The recent development is thatSinterit has launched a soft thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU)which would be used in small selective laser sintering (SLS) 3D Printers.

In 2018, the company has introduced its soft TPU powder which is being in small SLS 3D printers. This soft TPU powder is calledFlexa Soft. According to the opinion ofthe company press release, this material would help doctors perform their duties and mock surgeries. According to the Shore A type Scale, its hardness is between 40 to 55.

Furthermore, according to the results of some researches this technology would help hospitals by saving up to 31 minutesof doctors in the operation room for cleft palate procedures. This would result in saving up to $1,036 per operation.

It is also important and interesting fact which works behind this thinking is doctors show good performance in the field of surgeries if they had an accurate model of the human body part. 3D printing is providing a bright future for surgery.

Currently, some researchers are trying to go beyond printing model. They are actually trying to produce a fully functioning organ of human beings.
